bKash, Nagad and Rocket charges: cash out, send money and how to pay less

Updated: 5 Nov 2026 · 4 min read

Taking money out of a mobile wallet costs something; putting it in usually doesn’t. What you pay depends on the service, where you cash out and whether you use the app. The rates below are from each provider’s own website, checked in November 2026. Providers change them from time to time, so check before a large transaction.

bKash

Transaction Charge
Cash out at any agent (app or *247#) Tk 18.50 per 1,000
Cash out at your 2 Priyo Agent numbers, first Tk 50,000 a month Tk 13.95 per 1,000
Cash out at a BRAC Bank, City Bank or Q-Cash ATM Tk 14.90 per 1,000
Remittance money cashed out at those ATMs Tk 7 per 1,000
Send money to your 5 Priyo numbers Free up to Tk 25,000 a month, then Tk 5–10 each time
Send money to other numbers Tk 5 each time; Tk 10 once the month’s total passes Tk 25,000
Cash in at an agent Free

The Priyo rate has a catch: if a cash out takes you past Tk 50,000 for the month, that whole transaction is charged at Tk 18.50. Check your remaining Priyo limit in the app or on *247# first. bKash cut the Priyo Agent rate to Tk 13.95 in July 2026.

Nagad

Transaction Charge
Cash out at an uddokta (agent), Nagad app Tk 12.99 per 1,000
Cash out by dialling *167# Tk 15 per 1,000
Cash out, Nagad Islamic app Tk 15 per 1,000
Send money, app First 2 each month free (refunded as cashback), then Tk 5
Send money, *167# Tk 5 each time
Cash in at an uddokta Free

Nagad says its cash out rates include VAT, and that cash out at ATMs is not available at present.

Rocket

Dutch-Bangla Bank’s newest published Rocket charges are in its Citizen’s Charter of March 2025. For an ordinary account:

Transaction Charge
Cash out at an agent 1.67% (Tk 16.70 per 1,000)
Cash out at a DBBL ATM 0.9% (Tk 9 per 1,000)
Cash out at a DBBL branch 0.9% (Tk 9 per 1,000)
Send money to the same type of Rocket account Free
Send money to a different type of account 0.9%, taken from the receiver
Cash in at an agent or DBBL branch Free

Salary and stipend accounts have their own rates; cash out at an agent, for example, is 0.9%.

Cashing out Tk 5,000: an example

Service and route Charge
bKash, any agent Tk 92.50
bKash, Priyo Agent Tk 69.75
bKash, ATM Tk 74.50
Nagad, app Tk 64.95
Nagad, *167# Tk 75.00
Rocket, agent Tk 83.50
Rocket, DBBL ATM or branch Tk 45.00

For other amounts, the cash out charge calculator shows all three services side by side.

How to pay less

  • Use the cheap route on the service you have. On bKash, make two agents near home or work your Priyo Agents. On Nagad, use the app instead of *167#. On Rocket, a DBBL ATM costs about half what an agent does.
  • Know why the rates differ. Each company sets its own charges, and the cheaper rates come with conditions: a monthly cap, chosen agents, or the app only.
  • Check before a large withdrawal. bKash says it can change its charges at any time, and Nagad that it can change its terms at any time. Nagad adds that if the app or *167# shows a different charge from its website, the website’s rate applies. bKash and Nagad both cap cash out at Tk 30,000 a day and Tk 2,00,000 a month.

Keep your account safe

  • Never tell anyone your PIN or OTP. bKash and Nagad both say they will never ask for them. When you cash out, you enter the PIN on your own phone; an agent never needs it.
  • For Tk 5,000 or more, a bKash agent will ask for your NID number. That is normal; asking for your PIN is not.
  • Cash out only through the Cash Out option, never by sending money to an agent’s personal number.
  • Count the cash, and check the confirmation SMS and your balance before you leave.
  • If someone calls claiming to be from the company, hang up and call the official helpline yourself: bKash 16247, Nagad 16167, Rocket 16216.
